VicGrid, the government body responsible for planning and developing new energy infrastructure, has released a draft of the first Victorian Transmission Plan. The draft Victorian Transmission Plan includes the locations of proposed renewable energy zones - the 7 areas across the state most suitable to host new renewable energy generation, such as wind and solar.VicGrid is now now inviting feedback on the draft 2025 Victorian Transmission Plan, including the draft proposed renewable energy zones.We want to hear from communities, landholders, industry, and First Peoples and Traditional Owners about any impacts and opportunities we may have missed in our planning.Feedback will help shape decisions about the final plan, including boundaries and sizes of proposed renewable energy zones. Feedback will also inform our approach to future engagement and transmission project planning, development of renewable energy zones and future Victorian Transmission Plan updates.We are proposing to host a community information and feedback stall at the Golden Plains Farmer's Market, inviting community members to view information about the plan and renewable energy zones and submit feedback.

The Victorian Planning Authority will be at the Golden Plains Farmers' Market to share information and engage with the community about the draft plans for the proposed Bannockburn South East suburb. The project team will be on site to provide details and answer any questions.
