Established in 2009 by the Golden Plains Shire Council and winner of the Tourism and Hospitality award of the prestigious Geelong Business Excellence Awards in 2017, the Golden Plains Farmers’ Market is located in Bannockburn and is an authentic farmers' market showcasing a fantastic range of farm-fresh, locally grown and homemade produce.
As the only genuine VFMA accredited farmers’ market in the Golden Plains and Moorabool Valley regions and a key component of the Moorabool Valley Taste Trail, guests of the Golden Plains Farmers' Market are guaranteed an authentic market experience – fabulously fresh food sold and served by the very best farmers, growers and makers the region has to offer. Bannockburn is a lovely small town just north of Geelong and the Golden Plains Farmers' Market provides a relaxed, country atmosphere for families and friends to shop and have a bite to eat.

The Golden Plains Farmers’ Market is held on the first Saturday of the every month (except January), from 8.30am to 12.30pm, in the heart of Bannockburn (less than a half hour drive from Geelong, a one hour drive from Ballarat and approximately one and a half hours drive from Melbourne).
